Last week
in Sardinia Italy I was once more confronted with frightening facts about the pollution
of beaches.
Attached
two pictures give a result of 10 by 10 cm square on a Sardinian beach. Taken on
the spot were sea and beach come together.
The pictured grains and seed lookalikes are all plastics. As human it is at first view difficult to make out what they actually are.
No hope for birds and sea animals to make the distinction.
And these are visible. What about the plastics particles that escape the human eye?
Take into account all beaches of the Mediterranean I presume the total amount of plastic could easlily cover the Vesuvius.
Now it covers your beaches, in your food, in your kids and a frightening inheritance for generations to come…..
